Time Involvement


A neuropsychology testing session typically take about six to eight hours to complete.  Additionally, before testing there is an hour face-to-face assessment with the client, and following testing a one hour follow-up session to review the findings and provide recommendations to the client.  I base my fees on a typically standard rate for neuro-psychologists and psychologists; you may contact Health Care Psychology, PA for the current fee schedule.

Some assessments may be shorter, particularly in case of the client then refusing part of or all of the assessment on the day.  On the other hand, some complex cases are particularly complex may involve more comprehensive testing with hours of record review prior to the testing and prolonged telephone calls made.  This can amount to as much as fifteen hours, but this is exceptional.

Payment Policy

Private Pay: Individuals payment is required prior to the release of the report and feedback.  For organizations payment is required within 30 days.  Payment can be made by cash, check, or direct deposit.

Insurance: Insurance companies vary considerably with respect to the level of reimbursement for neuropsychological assessments.  Please check with this your insurer. Health Care Psychology, PA will provide you with an invoice and receipt including a provider number that you can submit to your insurance company.


Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call to cancel as soon as possible.  Given the lengthy time taken for an assessment a full day’s time is saved for you.  I charge a fee of $250 for appointments that are not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, except in the case of an emergency or prior arrangement.


Confidentiality

In accordance with the code of ethics of the psychological associations and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ( HIPAA), I am required to keep confidential any information I’m given, except under the following circumstances: iI you waive your right to confidentiality in writing; if I believe you pose a harm to yourself or others; if I believe that a child or an elder is being abuse, neglected, or molested; or if I am directed by a court of law.
